Loeb Puts the Focus on Children's Organizations This Holiday Season

Company Gives Charitably to The Children's Heart Foundation & Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Chicago

In honor of its employee's volunteer efforts, Loeb has made charitable donations to two Chicago-based children's organizations this holiday season; The Children's Heart Foundation and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Chicago.

As a 5th generation family owned company, Loeb has a long-established history of helping children. This year the company has donated to two organizations particularly near and dear to the hearts of their employees who also donate their time.

"We're extremely grateful to our customers and partners," states Howard Newman, Loeb's President. "Their continued business in 2011 has made these donations possible and as a result we're making a difference in many children's lives. It's with added pleasure that I get to hear from my employees the impact our donations have on the children they encounter."

Jonathan Bloom, Loeb's Vice President of Business Development, has been a volunteer with the Big Brothers Big Sisters program since 2009. Loeb's donation to Big Brothers Big Sisters will directly benefit the Bronzeville chapter where several children had been waitlisted due to lack of funding.
"It's amazing to watch the pure enjoyment my little brother has when we do activities. I love watching him grow as an individual while also teaching him many different life lessons," said Bloom. "I am overjoyed in knowing more 'littles' will benefit from our gift.

Sales Manager for Loeb, Tom Larson recently became involved with The Children's Heart Foundation when his daughter, Tina, started organizing student events for the organization.

"I have found through my association with The Children's Heart Foundation, that philanthropy and volunteerism is the key to happiness," states Larson. "Loeb's generosity will go a long way to help the children dealing with heart disease and I'm glad I'll get to witness the impact first hand."

Continuing a long-standing tradition of generosity at the holiday season means a lot to Howard and to the employees of Loeb.

"In the area of giving," says Newman, "most everything we do here at Loeb is about making children smile."

"We are very thankful for this valuable gift. "By helping this young organization at this critical stage, we know our gift is making a tremendous difference to children around the world and will lead the path to Bookwallah's success," said Loeb president, Howard Newman. "We're honored to be able to donate our resources."
